When I learned about the toxic ingredients in so many of my favorite suncare products, I had to find an alternative. When we choose organic and source the best quality food for our
bodies, how can we neglect our biggest organ - our skin, that absorbs everything we put on it.
I’ve been using Natural Tone Organic Suncare products now for more than 6 years and I can honestly swear by it. Not only do I not get burnt, I can be confident that what I put in my skin is as natural and organic as a sunscreen can be. They use Zinc Oxide as the main natural active mineral ingredient in their sunscreens, which works as a mirror to reflect the suns UVA and UVB rays. Conventional sunscreen brands contain harmful chemicals and focus only on UVB rays rather than the full spectrum. The active chemicals used in these brands absorb rather than reflect the suns rays, harming your largest organ, your skin. Chemical sunscreens are also harmful to our environment. When applying the sunscreens, there is a slight difference with the regular sunscreens - as you have to dab them on your skin first and then spread it on your skin. They have another amazing product should you get burnt, as you have to reapply sunscreen (depending on your skin type) every 40minutes approximately. It’s the Recovery Gel combines the exceptional healing power of pure Aloe and Tea Tree Oil with the soothing and cooling effects of Eucalyptus. It really does magic on the skin!
And actually one of my favorite products is not their sunscreen but their every day body cream the Rosehip Aloe Body Lotion that combines the healing properties of the Organic Aloe Vera with moisturizing and nourishing benefits of Rosehip oil. I use this lotion daily after a warm shower to help keep my skin hydrated, soft and nourished and I love the scent! And a hydrated skin is the key to a long lasting tan! Oh, and last but not least, I love their Platinum Tanning Oil that features so many amazing oils such as Macadamia, Rosehip, Coconut and Kukui to name a few. As this fine oil blend does not incorporate sunscreens, this tanning enhancer should be used only by those with a good base tan. They recommend using this product in combination with our filter SPF 8 lotion for your sensitive areas. Stay safe in the sun!
They also have other amazing products, I haven’t had the chance to try their new Sunless Tanner yet, but I’ve started to use their new Organic Face Cream, so I will update you all about it as I have used it for some time, but the feel and texture and of course the ingredient list is impeccable, so I’m confident that what I put in my skin will not harm me, but benefit me in every way.
