I'm a firm believer that the little habits are the big contributors to big changes. So I have adapted some simple morning rituals to and gotten into the habit of using some supplements and adaptogens daily to PREVENT illnesses and disease and for overall mental and physical wellbeing. So the first thing I do upon waking and after brushing my teeth is have a glass of warm water with lemon juice. I'm very lucky to have my own lemon tree in my garden, so I really have no excuses for it! If I'm feeling like I'm coming down with something or during the flu season, I also add the lemon-turmeric shot into my morning routine, but if I'm honest, I don't drink it every day. After my lemon water, I have my Collagen and Detox supplemet by Ecosh, which is an Estonian brand that I adore. (this is not a sponsored post to any brands by the way!) But like with every supplement, I don't take it 365 days of the year, but use it for a period of time. And ideally, we should be testing more frequently our vitamin and mineral levels and also heavy metals, so we don't just add random supplements to our lives, but are aware what our body is missing! Obviously in the winter I need more Vitamin D, and I am also taking Magnesium now daily and I love to also use my mushroom extracts if not on a daily basis, then on a weekly basis. For example 3x a week I take Chaga and Shitake by Shroomwell that are mainly to boost the immune system (that is also an Estonian brand that actually grow the mushrooms themselves and produce them as well to get a really good quality product!). And I use Reishi for sleep and Lion's Mane for focus/work and Cordyceps for energy! Right now I'm also taking NAD+ for a month for anti-aging, energy, and brain health. NAD+ is essential for cellular energy, brain function, and DNA repair, helping combat aging, improve metabolism, and support overall vitality. As levels decline with age, supplementation may boost energy, enhance cognitive function, and promote longevity.

I also take Shilajit from Nature Springs a few times during the week, as one of the Magnesium's I use already has Shilajit aka Mumio in it. If you are not familiar with it, it's a sticky substance that comes out of the cracks in high mountain ranges of Asia. It's made of animal, mineral, and plant material. It typically contains vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids, and amino acids. Shilajit contains fulvic acid and essential trace elements that support vital bodily functions such as enzyme activity, immune response and maintaining electrolyte balance, thus promoting overall well-being. Its antioxidant properties protect cells from oxidative stress, while its adaptogenic properties can improve the body's resistance to various stressors. According to traditional beliefs, it could increase energy levels and vitality, with some proponents suggesting possible cognitive improvement.
I just started using a amazing product called AG1 Athletic Greens. I remember hearing about the product from Rich Roll and his podcast, but never got around buying it as it's also quite pricy. But as I received one as a gift from a friend, I was very excited to try it out. And they say that one daily serving of AG1 can eliminate the need for many other supplements such as many multivitamins and multiminerals, good bacteria, greens and superfood powders, vitamin B complexes and vitamin C tablets. It supports digestion, which means it may also replace other digestive aids. I will take it for 30 days in a row and see how I feel and let you know.

Lastly, I enjoy a cup of decaf coffee, as I have given up drinking coffee, but I still love the taste and my holistic doctor Caty Pohlmann recommended to try Ditare coffee and for 3 years now I've been a loyal customer, ordering the ecological coffee beans that are made using the Swiss Water Process, which is a healthier, chemical-free option. This method uses only water, temperature, and time to remove caffeine, preserving the coffee’s natural flavors and nutrients without the use of solvents like methylene chloride or ethyl acetate, which are used in some other decaffeination processes. So, if you want a clean, natural, and chemical-free decaf coffee, Swiss Water Process is one of the best choices!
