Miami Blog #2: Dinner at the romantic Boulud Sud

One of the reasons to stay at Miami Beaux Arts Hotel is definitely the various dining options it offers and the one we decided to try is the newly opened Boulud Sud Restaurant on the ground floor of the JW Marriott Marquis building. Inspired by the success of its sister restaurant on New York City's Upper West Side, the award-winning Chef Daniel Boulud has brought his brilliant Mediterranean concept to sunny Florida. The interior is stunning and they have carefully selected some beautiful collage art by an Brazilian artist Vik Muniz. The moment we walked into the buzzing restaurant, we were taken care of their professional and warm staff who helped us choose our dishes and of course some vino with it. The menu features a coastal menu inspired by classic dishes from the Côte d'Azur Spain, Italy, Greece, Morocco, Tunisia, Lebanon, Turkey and beyond.

We opted for a lovely Italian Wine called Etna Rosso (2015) by Graci and as for the food we enjoyed the Yellowfin Tuna Crudo and a light Tropezienne Salad followed by a divine Catalan Grilled Skirt Steak served with delicious Patatas Bravas. Since we live and breathe the Mediterranean food, we were very pleased with the experience and we will surely return to Boulud Sud on our next visit to Miami. The food is simple, yet sophisticated at the same time, it’s filling but not heavy. The perfect dinner place with a great lively atmosphere whether you’re looking for a romantic date for two or whether you’re celebrating your birthday amongst family and friends. In short Boulud Sud is a vibrant celebration of the sun and the sea in the heart of Miami.
