Where to stay in Koh Lipe? Mali Resort!

From Koh Lanta we headed towards the South and took a three hour speedboat to Koh Lipe, which is famous for it’s white sands and crystal clear waters and it sure was beautiful there. As for our accommodation, we chose to stay at the beautiful Mali Resort on Pattaya Beach and there is no doubt that this is the best hotel you can find in Koh Lipe. A person from the resort waited for us on the beach where the ferry stopped and helped us take all of our luggage, since there is no pier there - the island is tiny!!! Not only does Mali Resort look amazing, they have built it using sustainable materials to create an aesthetic that is at once unique yet natural, high-end yet following to the authentic tone of island life. And staying at their beachfront luxury bungalows are the perfect way to enjoy Koh Lipe - you have AC in your spacious room with a comfortable bed to tuck in at night. And the best part is the outdoor bathroom - you can enjoy the sounds of the jungle whilst taking a rain shower!

The breakfast is simple, but offers everything you need and more - you can choose from American to Thai Breakfast and did I mention that coffee and tea is complimentary 24 hours during your stay? After breakfast the best thing you can do is enjoy the beach and do some paddle surf which is also free of charge for the Mali hotel’s clients. The sand and the water is super beautiful and clean and actually even more green than blue - a total paradise island and a true hidden gem of Thailand! We also enjoyed some Thai food in their restaurant and not only was it delicious it was also affordable. And don’t forget to enjoy it with some Coconut Water - it’s just a little bit over 1€. After tanning and enjoying the resort, head down to Koh Lipe’s Walking Street or make a round of the island by foot. But all of that in the next post about the stunning tiny Koh Lipe island.
