What to do in Ko Lanta?

Since we only stayed three nights at Crown Lanta Resort in Koh Lanta, we only took one day to discover the island. It’s quite small, but it has roads for the cars that run 22km from north to south (not like tiny Koh Lipe which was our next destination). Compared to the touristic islands such as Phi-Phi or Phuket, charming Lanta remains far more calm and real and caters to all tastes and budgets. We were recommended to have a walk at the National Park, which is supposed to be amazing and you can spot some monkeys there as well. But since we were longing to enjoy the beach, we visited some of the beaches along the coast and had a swim at the lovely Bambu Beach. Make sure you also stop by the Diamond Cliff Bar for a drink and below you will also find an incredibly beautiful beach. For lunch, we opted for ‘Same Same but Different’ which was situated right on the beach - amazing food, so make sure to give it a try when you’re there. Also very near the Crown Lanta hotel, you will also find stunning beaches, such as Long Beach and in the end of Long Beach where Moloko Lanta is as well.

We made a lot of lovely friends at Koh Lanta - from Crown Lanta's marketing manager Jenna to some local sea pirates! We enjoyed some mojitos and Pad Thai at their favorite local bar called Lay Bar, which is very near the resort. Overall the vibe in Koh Lanta is so chilled, you feel very safe and welcomed by the locals. We will definitely be back..
