After two nights in Bangkok, we headed towards our next destination - Koh Lanta island. Here is how to get there from Bangkok:
1. Fly to Krabi airport - flight is around 1 hour
2. Taxi to Krabi Port - approximately 20 minutes
3. Ferry to Koh Lanta - 2 hours
The hotel had arranged a transport for us, but the resort is very near-just 3km away from Koh Lanta Saladan pier. Koh Lanta is very laid-back and perfect for couples as well as families and I think the resort we stayed is one of the most romantic hotel in Koh Lanta. Nested on an impressive elevated private peninsula, Crown Lanta Resort & Spa has two splendid private beaches and a selection of their rooms have direct pool access.
As soon as we stepped into our beautiful Elegance Deluxe Room, we instantly felt relaxed. The sea views from our room were just breathtaking! And not only from the room and the balcony, also from the bathroom - so you can shower and admire the beautiful Andaman Sea. All of their 83 generously-sized rooms and villas you'll really get the feeling of Thai contemporary architecture. Crown Lanta actually has a sister hotel in Aonang - Aonang Cliff Beach Hotel, where we stayed last year and we loved it - they also had a window in the bathroom to admire the views! Since it was already 6 o'clock, we headed down to their Reggae Bar for the happy hour cocktails and sunset (more about that in my next post).
The next day we started off by having lovely breakfast in The Peak restaurant, which also offered great seaviews. The buffet selection was very extensive - from eggs and fruit to even Thai curries. My favourite part of the breakfast was the watermelon juice - it was like a piece of heaven. After the breakfast we enjoyed our day tanning and having cocktails by one of their inviting pools with a bar inside the pool and later that day we also decided to enjoy a massage in their Infinity Spa right next to the pool. I enjoyed a Herbal COmpress Massage and my boyfriend chose the Sports Deep Tissue Massage. And we could have it together, at the same time! I loved the massage, it was the perfect end to our 'busy' day at this stunning resort.
The Crown Lanta Resort is ideally located, giving the privacy of paradise, while also offering access to all the sights and sounds Koh Lanta has to offer. And we discovered a bit of the island one day, but more about it in the next blog post!
