Positano was our final destination during our Amalfi Coast daytrip. What a magnificent place. It's just stunning - looks just like a postcard and feels like you're in one as well. When you're there you really feel like you're far from your routine and work and all you can think about is how to capture this beauty and keep it in your memories. And of course which pizza to order..
Positano was a relatively poor fishing village during the first half of the twentieth century. It was only after John Steinbeck published his essay about Positano in Harper's Bazaar in May, 1953: "Positano bites deep", Steinbeck wrote. "It is a dream place that isn’t quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone." After that the tourists couldn't get enough of Positano and it's amazing views. And I can't say I'm different - the first time I laid eyes on a photo of Positano, I knew I had to see this place myself in person. Besides great pizza and wine, we also visited a luxurious five star hotel called Le Sirenuse, for a quick Cappuccino. And not just for a Cappuccino. A Cappuccino with a view!
